A prototype of the new 2024 Acura Integra Type S will make its North American debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway this weekend to the delight of IMSA fans and motorsport enthusiasts alike.
Wearing a special “Type S” camouflage wrap, the highly anticipated Acura Integra Type S will be displayed in the paddock of Florida’s Daytona International Speedway throughout the race weekend and will serve as lead vehicle at the start of North America’s most prestigious sports car race.
Promising ultimate street performance and driver engagement, the 2024 Integra Type S will be powered by a high-revving 2.0-litre VTEC turbocharged engine producing over 300 horsepower and paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission and limited slip differential.
More details on the Integra Type S will be shared closer to its launch this summer. For more information on the next-gen Acura Integra, the 2023 North American Car of the Year™, click here.
Acura Motorsports at Daytona
Following back-to-back wins at the Rolex 24 including a dominate 1-2 finish in 2022, Acura Motorsports returns to Daytona looking to defend its Rolex crowns. For the 61st running of the twice around the clock enduro, Acura will campaign four entries – including the debut of the all-new electrified Acura ARX-06 Prototypes competing in the newly formed GTP category. Convincingly demonstrating the new car’s performance in its maiden outing during Rolex 24 qualifying last weekend, Meyer Shank Racing team driver Tom Blomqvist set fastest time to take pole position for the race. The two Prototypes will be joined by two Acura NSX GT3 Evos racing in the GTD category.
